Handling
Handle your device with care. You may damage the device and included alkaline AAA batteries or accessories if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture your device. Do not use a OptiSigns Deivce and remote with a damaged enclosure. Using a damaged device or remote may cause overheating or injury. Do not expose your device and remote to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. If your device and remote gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.
The device and remote is designed to operate in a dry, indoor environment. The device and remote is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 32° and 104° F (0° and 40° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 113° F (-20° and 45° C). Do not expose your device and remote to temperatures above 113° F (45° C), this may damage the device and remote, overheat the batteries, or pose a risk of fire. Keep your device and remote away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place and do not use it until it has cooled.
Only handle your devices with clean hands. Unplug the device and its power adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Do not clean your device while it is powered as this may cause injury or damage to your device. Avoid solvent and abrasive material that may cause damage to the product surface. Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as benzene) to clean the device or accessories.
Battery Safety
This device contains alkaline batteries. The remote requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5V alkaline batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred, or heat the batteries and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the remote as they can become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your remote for an extended period of time. Dispose of all batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.
Child Safety
This device is not a toy. Your OptiSigns Device and remote may contain (or may come with) small parts, plastic or metal elements, and parts with sharp edges that may cause an injury or create a choking hazard. Children have strangled on cords and cables. Keep the device’s cords and cables out of the reach of children and do not allow them to play with the device and its accessories. They could hurt themselves or others, or could accidentally damage the product.
Additional Safety Considerations

Handle your device and its accessories with care. Your device and its accessories may have pointed edges which can lead to scratches, cuts, or other physical injury.

Your device is shipped with an AC adapter. Your device should only be powered using the AC adapter and USB cable included with the device.

Do not expose your device or adapter to liquids. If your device or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device and adapter to dry completely before plugging them in again.

If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.

Do not force the adapter into a power outlet.

The device generate heat during normal operation, avoid prolonged skin contact when the device is in use because that may cause discomfort or burns.

Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing buttons or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.

Discontinue use of your device and consult a physician if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation, or other discomfort. To reduce risk of these symptoms, avoid prolonged use, watch your television from a far distance and in a well-lit room, and take frequent breaks.
Radio Frequency Exposure
This device has been evaluated and meets the applicable regulatory requirements for exposure to radio waves and is designed and manufactured not to exceed the applicable emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy.
Radio Frequency Interference
This device uses radio signals to connect to wireless networks. Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology. Your device is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment.
FCC Regulatory Compliance
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
